Endorsements

“As a pastor I’ve been called upon many occasions to be right in the middle of people’s crisis and pain. That’s exactly where Alternatives lives daily. Their team of caring and compassionate servants are uniquely gifted to minister grace in practical and tangible ways, to those who otherwise would have to hide in the shadows of shame. Which is why I’ve counted it a privilege to lead our church in championing their work.”

-Miles DeBenedictis, Senior Pastor Cross Connection Church

Volunteering

Volunteering

As a nonprofit organization that receives no government funding, Alternatives relies heavily on volunteer personnel to accomplish our mission and vision. We thank you for considering the opportunity to serve at Alternatives Medical Clinic or Alternatives Parenting Center.

All prospective volunteers must go through an application and screening process before onboarding for and training for their role. For most volunteer positions, we ask for a minimum commitment of one 3-hour shift per week for one year.

To request an application or if you would like additional information, please contact Katie Kirgiss at kkirgiss@amc-ca.com.

Our current volunteer needs are listed below.

Client Mentor: The Client Mentor plays a vital role in walking alongside parents who have courageously chosen life. The Client Mentor facilitates in-person appointments and guides clients through pre-recorded, pre-planned lessons designed to equip and encourage them as they navigate the challenges and joys of parenting and personal growth.

Event Helpers: In addition to regular volunteers who serve weekly, we often need additional hands to help out with our various events throughout the year like the Walk for Life or Fall Fundraising Gala. Event helpers serve in various capacities to ensure the success of these events.
